2. Installation

2.1 How to obtain PariGUIde

You can download pariGUIde for Linux from the pariGUIde-Homepage: http://skalatan.de/pariguide/

2.2 Requirements

The PariGUIde package needs Pari-GP as server. It should compile with Qt2.3/ KDE 2.2.2. Some problems could occur with Qt 3, that will fix in the future.

Download the source from the Pari-GP Homepage: http://www.parigp-home.de/ Your favority Linux-Distro should also provide some binaries.

2.3 Compilation and installation

In order to compile and install PariGUIde on your system, type the following in the base directory of the PariGUIde distribution:

% ./configure
% make

Note: because of the early state of pariGUIde, no files are installed on your system.
You will find the exutable in the /parigui directory.

Since PariGUIde uses autoconf, you should have not trouble compiling it. Should you run into problems, please report them to the the maintainer of the Linux version at Henning Westerholt
